NBA All Star Game Tells Man to Beat It.

A fall from grace of epic proportions has befallen one the eighties – one of music’s – most influential artists. At one point this man was next to Michael Jordan as one of the most recognized stars In The World. In the national spotlight since he was five. He has the best selling album of all-time, 13 number one hit singles, 13 Grammy awards, was named World Music Award’s Best-Selling Pop Male Artist of Millennium, American Music Award’s Artist of the Century, Bambi Award’s Pop Artist of the Millennium, and a double inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

This man cannot get a ticket to the NBA All Star Game? The NBA All Star Game. We’re not talking about Studio 54 or the Playboy Mansion; we’re talking about an exhibition game that the fans don’t even care about. Hell, Screech from Saved by the Bell could probably pull a few strings and get some tickets.

As reported by the The New York Times and "Mike and Mike in the Morning" this man was snubbed because he waited too long to pursue a seat. Hmmm, I’m willing to bet if Scarlet Johansson wanted a ticket, a signed Polaroid would get her front row.

If you haven’t guessed, the guy watching the game from his couch, will be doing it from a couch in Neverland Ranch (or does that have yellow tape surrounding it?). Yup, the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, can’t buy a bucket – literally..

I know he’s had some problems, and may be off the reservation, but less than a decade removed from chart topping hits has this icon already run out of passes? He doesn’t want to teach daycare, he just wants a box of popcorn and some live entertainment. Well, I guess this is just another example of the theory that the media and American public love to build people up just to knock them down.

I’ll tell you Mike, while you might not make the game, of the thousands who will be there, I bet over half of them will be listening to you on their Ipod’s on the way to or from the arena. Maybe if you start campaigning now you could secure a seat for next year.
