Ooops, I did it again….Winning Randall Scott its First Annual Feel Good Blog of the Year
Readers recently voted my last blog the feel good blog of the year. The overwhelming sentiment is that there hadn’t been an uplifting story of this magnitude since School of Rock hit the theatres in 2003.
So, in honor of receiving this honor, I’d like to follow up my heartwarming story with another one. So, without further ado I’d like to publish our annual list of……
Emotionally Stable Child Stars:
1)
Tiffany Amber Thiesen (Kelly Kapowski) – this Orange County product has proven to be a master of all genres, as she went from playing a SoCal high schooler in SBTB to Playing a SoCal College student in 90210
2)
Mark Paul Gosselaar (Zack Morris) – The momentum he gained as “Preppie” never slowed, hitting its pinnacle in 1996 when he acted alongside a star studded cast that included DJ Tanner of Full House and Six of Blossom, in the dark and emotional USA after school special, “She Cried No”.
4)
Mario Lopez (A.C. Slater) – Arguably the most successful member of Bayside High, Lopez was a regular on The View, placed second only to the venerable Emmit Smith in Dancing With the Stars, and - rumor has it - won the rights to host Price is Right in an out of court settlement in which he agreed to drop numerous harassment charges against Bob Barker.
3)
Lark Voorhies (Lisa Turtle) - Is it any surprise the enterprising Miss Turtle owns her own production company? We think not.
5)
Elizabeth Berkley (Jesse Spanos) – While the Jury is still out on her acting career, many people have been quoted saying, “She’s very emotionally stable”
When contacted about these awards, they all thanked Mr. Belding for helping them prepare and edndure the pitfalls of childstardom. Yes, even Zack.

I didn't forget Screech. Unfortunately, "emotionally stable" can't be used to describe him yet.
