    Randall Scott Lifestyle

My Therapist Said it Would be Good to Write About

First I’d like to say congratulations to the Giants and Eli Manning who escaped three certain sacks to unload a no look lame duck that was caught by the helmet of David Tyree…who was wearing Rodney Harrison (who’s 200 lbs of HGH) as a back pack.

OK, seriously, the Giants played a great game, and it was a great game – one of the better Superbowls regardless of allegiance.

The pain in the conclusion of this game wasn’t losing the Superbowl. It wasn’t losing to NY, and a quarterback whose best asset is that he lacks the intellect to understand that he’s in the Superbowl, playing the best team in history, which made him and his perpetual look of bewilderment impervious to the gravity of the moment. It wasn’t the fact that the 72’ Dolphins, who would have been lucky to grab an AFC wild card birth in last years playoffs, are still the only undefeated team in NFL history – and let you know about every chance they get. It’s the fact that the Patriots lost history.

(Next Blog we'll have a bio on the Biggest Bank Teller in America: Here's a picture preview)

If the Pats were 12-4, 13-3, even 15-1, the loss wouldn’t still resonate. But they were 18-0, and we (And by ‘we’ I mean New Englanders who didn’t jump on the Buffalo bandwagon because they had a few good years during our impressionable years…Hansen…Wide Right. By ‘we’ I mean the guys who grew up with heroes like Irving Fryar, Tony Eason, Steve Grogan, Andre Tippet, and the original Undertaker, Bruce Armstrong.) were going to tell our kids what it was like to watch perfection, know you were going to win every game, and to be surprised – shocked – when your quarterback threw an incompletion.

So, there you have it…my congratulations to the NY fans who haven’t won a World Series since 2000 (yes I’m knocking on wood right now).
